What are you doing to those poor birds?! Dang dun dung anyway.

Nuthin’. I just scared them when I was walking with El Pooch. They fluttered up from their dun coloured branches and scattered across the sky.

I like “eye blue sky” – good thing the eyes weren’t brown

That would be a whole ‘nother poem. Or song.

I don’t seem to be able to locate the link, but I suspect I asked for it 🙂

It’s was a link to an old 1970’s country song called “Don’t it make my brown eyes blue” by Crystal Gale. Nothing momentous or witty.

We need a love button on wordpress! I more than like this 😀 You command words and they dance into place 😀

I think the words commanded me in this case. Sometimes when I’m out walking the dog things just pop into my head. I love it when that happens.

When my tiny brain finally understood the first verse I roared with laughter and frightened the dog …..

The dog is an important part of this opaque poem as it was while walking my wee pooch in a grove of naked deciduous trees that a flock of said dun coloured birds lifted from the branches where they were invisible and into the clear blue sky. If I hadn’t been walking him I never would have noticed. Bless our dogs.
